Woolley & Wallis enjoyed a successful day at the Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show on Wednesday 16th August 2017 – the weather stayed fair following a dry St Swithins Day and the crowds flocked in.
The marquee is in an enviable position overlooking the main ring and every year we have seen an increase in number attending our marquee and this year was no exception.
The marquee was decorated with bunting and we welcomed in a host of friends, new and old. They were royally treated to homemade chocolate cakes, sandwiches and a cup of tea or something a little stronger.
Of particular note were the superb display of livestock, something that the Show is noted for. Rob Bishop of Woolley & Wallis Finance won the Simmental Champion, the Aberdeen Angus Champion and the Native Inter-Breed Champion.
Next year’s Show is on Wednesday 15th August 2018.
