Dairy Show 2017

Woolley & Wallis’ rural team were in force at this years Dairy Show, held at the  Royal Bath & West Showground on Wednesday 4th October 2017.

The traditional large fruit cake and a nip of sloe gin was well received by a host of enthusiastic farmers and fellow professionals alike. This allowed time  for a good natured discussion mainly around the prospects of the dairy industry. Confidence is high and milk prices are currently strong – it’s great to see the sector buoyant again.

A well supported turnout of over 250 dairy cattle (can you name the 6 breeds of dairy cows?)  resulted in the championship being won by the Holstein Normead Baxter Kansas owned by E & C Thomas.
