A Grade II listed, terraced cottage with 3 bedrooms and plenty of character features. Featuring generous, south facing gardens.
Lower Cottage is a charming village property with an abundance of character throughout. The accommodation offers two main receptions with the sitting room benefiting from double doors opening into the garden and an inglenook fireplace. The kitchen is fully fitted with space to have a table for breakfasts. From the kitchen there is an inner hall with space for fridge freezers and a downstairs cloak room (was once a shower room). On form this is a utility room and a study which could be used as a ground floor bedroom. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms with one benefiting from a recently installed shower room en-suite, there is also a family bathroom again recently fitted. There is a loft from the landing offering a great space for storage.
This cottage is certainly worth viewing to appreciate the space in this location within the heart of the village.
SITUATION
Lower Cottage is situated about half way along Hindons pretty tree lined High Street, close to the centre of the village . The village itself has a busy and thriving community with a successful community run post office and shop, two popular pubs, a nursery and primary school and a doctors surgery. Further amenities are available in the nearby town of Tisbury plus the advantage of a main line railway station. The Saxon, hilltop town of Shaftesbury offers a further choice of retailers including Tesco and a community hospital. Hindon is well located for those who travel or commute to work outside the area on a regular basis. The A303 and A36 are within a few minutes drive and give access to the M3 /M25 corridors and along the south coast within easy reach. The area has a wide choice of state and independent primary and secondary schools and plenty of leisure activities including golf, cycling, horse riding, walking and many more.
OUTSIDE
The gardens are fabulous and arranged in a cottage style. It is quite rare in Hindon to have a garden attached to the property which this is. The garden stretches west from the cottage and gently rises to where a trap gate leads into a wider, level patch used for fruit and vegetables. Parking is on the road but the outgoing tenant advised that there is always somewhere to park and most times straight outside the property.
