A spacious 4 bedroom chalet bungalow with a large garden located in a superb village. The property now requires updating and modernising.
Oaklea is a detached 4 bedroom chalet bungalow on a good size plot in the popular and peaceful village of East Grimstead. The property was extended some 20 years ago to create spacious and versatile accommodation, although it is now fair to say it requires updating and modernisation. Internally the property comprises an entrance hall with stairs to the 1st floor and a useful storage cupboard. The large sitting room has patio doors leading onto a large elevated decked area. The kitchen/dining room has a good selection of base and wall mounted storage, sink, oven and further cupboards with space for a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a separate dining room/office, shower room and downstairs bedroom with cupboard housing the boiler. On the first floor there are 3 further bedrooms, 2 doubles and a single, and a family bathroom. The main bedroom is particularly large and has a balcony overlooking the garden. Externally the property has a generous front garden with off-road parking in front of a single garage. To the rear there is a further garage/workshop and a large garden prominently put to lawn. Oaklea has a completed forward chain and presents an excellent opportunity to purchase a spacious home in a popular village.
East Grimstead is a very popular village approximately 7 miles away from the Cathedral city of Salisbury. There is a very good community atmosphere here with an active village hall and pretty village green and pond. Bentley Woods (Bentley Wood Trust), with unspoilt rural views is a five minute stroll away and fantastic for dog walking and for children to explore. The neighbouring villages support public houses, village shops, primary schools and churches. There are trains at nearby West Dean into Salisbury and to Southampton and another primary school, two public houses, tennis courts, toddler group as well as other numerous facilities in nearby Alderbury. There are buses from the village to Salisbury with its excellent range of shopping, leisure, educational and cultural facilities, as well as mainline station with trains to London Waterloo, journey time approximately 90 minutes. The city also supports a well thought of playhouse and a twice weekly charter market.
Oaklea has a large front garden with drive providing off-road parking in front of a single garage. To the rear there is a further garage or workshop. The rear garden is good size and is prominently laid to lawn. Large hedges provide good privacy.
